The Reno Silver Sox overcame a pretty good performance by New Orleans first baseman Richard Orr, beating the Pelicans, 7-6, at Alamo Park. Orr went 4-4 with a triple, 3 singles, and 2 walks. Reno reliever Arturo Avilés picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Jerry Beckmann took the loss. Reno has run its win streak to 4 in a row.

Jesús Salcido was the walk-off hero for Reno. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Silver Sox first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Reno manager Zach Ames.
