Getting offensive support from Campbell Broomhead, the Minneapolis Millers topped the Homer Yetis, 5-4. Broomhead went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Millers. The winner was Dan Rochefort in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Robert Rice took the loss. Darwin Madden was credited with the save, his 14th in 16 tries.

Chris Valadez drove in one run for Minneapolis. The 32-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Orlando García. It was his 65th RBI of the season.

After the game, Minneapolis manager Bob T applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.

Minneapolis occupies 5th place in the Pioneer League North at 56-67.
