Lone Stars Hang 7-2 Loss on Seals
The Houston Lone Stars topped the San Francisco Seals, 7-2, in Pioneer League action at Hogg Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Houston pitcher Larry Adams. At 69-56, the Lone Stars find themselves in second place in the Pioneer League South.

Israel González had a big 2-run triple for the Lone Stars in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Houston leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Luis Alvarado and swatted a triple to right. It was his 7th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lone Stars ahead, 3-0.

In comments to the Houston Times, González insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
