The Long Beach Ports used an offensive barrage to beat the Reno Silver Sox, 10-1, at Alamo Park. Matt Oster led the way, going 4-for-5 for Long Beach. Reno's current losing streak is now 6 games.

Long Beach relied on the hitting of Wes Ballenger to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Ports on top, 2-0. For the game, Ballenger had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

Ports manager had nothing but praise for his players after an impressive win, calling the result one of the team's best performances of the season. "Everything just came together on our end," he said. "I didn't need to do too much."
