Houston turned a good effort from starter Larry Adams into a win over the Las Vegas Strip at Hogg Field. The Lone Stars won the game, 8-2. Adams got the win, improving to 10-1. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 6.1 innings. He allowed no runs. The Pioneer League South-leading Lone Stars are 72-55.

In the bottom of the fifth, Houston third baseman Dan Campbell had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Campbell stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 3-0, Houston. For the game, he went 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
