Nicollet Park was the site of a competitive game between the Dallas Eagles and Minneapolis Millers.

Minneapolis pitcher Darwin McCoy did his part in helping his team defeat the Dallas Eagles, 4-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Darwin Madden notched his 15th save in 18 chances.

Chris Valadez hit a 2-run double off Morris Ellem in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Millers in front, 4-2. In addition to the double, Valadez had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.

Said losing manager Cameron J: "Not taking anything away from them, but we swung the bats better than what it showed."

The Millers now own a record of 58-70.
