Jacks Pull Even With 5-4 Victory
The Kansas City Jacks topped the Phoenix Fireballs, 5-4, in Pioneer League action at Arthur Bryant Ballpark. The standout performance belonged to Kansas City pitcher and Houston, Texas, native Brian Gaines. The Jacks now have a record of 65-65 with the win over Phoenix.

With one out in the bottom of the third, Pedro Castro barreled up a fastball from Bu-wei Chen. The result was a 2-run home run, putting the Jacks in front, 3-0.

"I take a professional approach to my job," said Gaines. "I've been around this game for a while."
