Portland Loss Diminishes Savino III Performance
Portland center fielder Pedro Savino III had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Savino III hit 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice, even as Sacramento beat the Beavers, 12-8. With the win, the Ironhorse hiked their record to 66-63.

Sacramento used the timely hitting of Francisco Rivera to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ironhorse on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Sacramento manager RR Zayx. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."
