The Los Angeles Angels got a sterling performance from pitcher Jason Browning, but the San Francisco Seals still prevailed, 5-2. Browning threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Lee Graves was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 21 of 27 save opportunities. The 'W' lifts San Francisco's record to 60-72.

Juan Vázquez came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The right fielder smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Vázquez said after the game.
