The Homer Yetis scooped up a win at Arthur Bryant Ballpark, dumping the Kansas City Jacks, 4-2. Barry Jennings, who led the PL in wins with 24 in 2010, was essential to his team's success. The Yetis improved their record to 57-79 with the win over Kansas City.
Homer used a clutch at-bat from José Díaz to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Yetis ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager Marcus Jelks: "Give the Yetis credit. They played a better game than we did."
