Orr Leads Pelicans to 11-9 Win Over Strip
New Orleans first baseman Richard Orr had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Las Vegas Strip, 11-9. New Orleans reliever Dan Williams picked up the win, raising his record to 7-9. John Hodges was tagged with the loss. Jerry Beckmann got the save, his 1st in 4 chances.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Pelicans grabbed the lead when Orr hit his 13th triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple off John Hodges made it 11-9, New Orleans.

"Wild game," said Orr after it ended.

The last-place Strip dropped to 40-97.
