Phoenix and Minneapolis duked it out and the Fireballs came out victorious.

Led by Juan Guzmán, the Phoenix Fireballs defeated the Minneapolis Millers, 5-2. Guzmán was 3-4 with 2 home runs for the Fireballs. The win puts Phoenix at 71-67 this season.

Phoenix used a clutch at-bat from Stanford Reyes to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Fireballs ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

Said Phoenix manager Jarien Smith: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
