The New Orleans Pelicans picked up a win at Higgins Park, dropping the Las Vegas Strip, 5-4, in 11 innings. Sergio Estrada, who finished 2nd in the PL in ERA with 2.57 in 2013, was the difference-maker. Dan Williams, now 8-9, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. New Orleans is now 68-70.

The decisive blow was delivered by Wes Ballenger in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Charles Chandler to win the game for New Orleans. The home crowd went nuts.

"We came out on top and that's all I can ask for," said Estrada.
