Luis Reyes pitched a dandy of a game to help the Reno Silver Sox beat the Minneapolis Millers, 2-1. Gabriel Ordóñez, now 3-1, was credited with the win in 0.1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The Silver Sox improved their record to 26-25 with the win over Minneapolis.

The game was at a stalemate until first baseman James Winston came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Minneapolis pitcher Darwin Madden, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Reno on top, 2-1.

"Every loss hurts," said Minneapolis manager Bob T. "But this was a tough one."
