Eagles Popped by Silver Sox, 7-2
The Reno Silver Sox picked up a win at Alamo Park, knocking off the Dallas Eagles, 7-2. Starting pitcher Joshua Santana was a big reason why. In 6.2 innings, Santana surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 2. He allowed 2 runs. Reno has now won 3 straight, while the Eagles have lost 3 in a row.

Culley Delaney had a big 2-run home run for the Silver Sox in the bottom of the first inning. With Reno leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from Leroy Matthews, who is tied for 3rd in the PL with a 2.97 ERA, and punished it. The result was his 13th home run of the season, which put the Silver Sox on top, 4-0.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Delaney told the Reno Chronicle.
