Reno got a strong outing from Rick Smith as the Silver Sox defeated the Las Vegas Strip, 4-2, at Banditos Ballpark. Smith, now 4-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. Leonard Burton converted his 27th save in 34 tries.
