The San Jose Owls took on the Sacramento Ironhorse at Ironhorse Stadium.

Owls third baseman Pablo Mejía left his mark on his team's 6-3 win over the Sacramento Ironhorse. Mejía, who finished 5th in the PL in hits with 172 in 2012, was 3-3 with 2 doubles and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for San Jose in the contest. The second-place Ironhorse now sit at 31-21.

With San Jose leading 1-0 in the top of the third, Mejía hit a fastball from Dave Sackett for a run-scoring double. It was his 15th double of the season and put the Owls ahead, 2-0.

"Good, gritty kind of win," said Owls manager Sean Hogan.
