4-3 Win Gets New Orleans to 38-15
The New Orleans Pelicans did just enough to sneak past the Kansas City Jacks, 4-3, at Arthur Bryant Ballpark. New Orleans pitcher Sergio Estrada, in particular, had a standout performance. In 7 innings, Estrada surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Picking up the save was 37-year old right-handed pitcher Cristián Cortéz.

New Orleans used a clutch at-bat from Richard Orr to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Pelicans ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Orr. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."

The win elevated the Pelicans to 38-15.
