The Minneapolis Millers topped the Reno Silver Sox, 6-1, in Pioneer League action at Nicollet Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Minneapolis pitcher Ed Floyd. The Millers, now 23-30, have won 5 in a row.

The Millers got a big at-bat from catcher Rodrigo Méndez. For the game, Méndez went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Minneapolis a 3-0 lead.
