Wet weather did not postpone the Reno-Houston ballgame.

Benefiting from Arturo Álvarez's productive game, the Reno Silver Sox downed the Houston Lone Stars, 7-5. Álvarez went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Silver Sox. Reno pitcher David Bright earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Jackson Mendoza suffered the loss.

César Molina was 2-4 with 2 singles for Reno. The 23-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Jackson Mendoza. It was his 4th hit of the season.

"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Molina. "It sure beats the alternative."

Houston is now 3-3.
