The Sacramento Ironhorse picked up a win at Ironhorse Stadium, knocking off the Portland Beavers, 8-3. Starting pitcher Arthur Wise was a big reason why. The Ironhorse now have a record of 64-80 with the win over Portland.

John Porter, who is tied for 9th in the CL in bases on balls with 73, aided the Sacramento cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Porter said in reaction to the win.
