Hollywood pitcher Pedro Rivera did his part in helping his team beat the San Bernardino Stallions, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. San Bernardino now has a 6-game losing streak.
Hollywood relied on the hitting of Arthur Beard to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the first inning to put the Stars on top, 1-0. For the game, Beard had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
