Minneapolis took on Seattle in front of a lively crowd.
The Minneapolis Millers beat the Seattle Rainiers, 5-1. Minneapolis pitcher and Cincinnati, Ohio, native Ed Floyd led the way. The Millers saw their record improve to 26-32.
Minneapolis used the hitting of Hisashi Ine to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Millers on top, 3-0. For the game, Ine had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Ine told the Minneapolis Citizen.
