San Francisco and Seattle got after it at Sick's Stadium.

Seattle got a terrific game from center fielder Gilberto Lugo. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to San Francisco, 10-5. Lugo was 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs. The winner was Cornell Jenkins, who threw 108 pitches over 6 innings. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs on 7 hits.

Mike O'Neill helped out the San Francisco cause in the top of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the second baseman went 1-4 with a walk. He scored 2 runs.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said San Francisco manager Jamming Econo.

The win makes San Francisco 65-81.
