Fernando Gimarey was a vital contributor to the 9-4 Salt Lake City victory over Kansas City. The Locusts left fielder was 2 for 4 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Gimarey had a game-changing triple in the top of the seventh. On a 2-2 changeup from Jack Pearson, he banged a 2-run triple to left-center, giving the Locusts a 6-4 lead. It was the 14th triple of the year for Gimarey.
