San Francisco picked up a win at Ohlone Park, bumping off the Hollywood Stars, 6-3. Pitcher Edgardo García was a major reason the Seals emerged victorious. The last-place Seals are now 66-82, the Stars 99-49.

San Francisco took a 4-2 lead on Thomas Thomas's 29th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Thomas hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Hollywood pitcher Greg Smith visibly frustrated.

García attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
