Cantú Brilliant as Seals Top Yetis, 1-0
|
Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the San Francisco Seals and Homer Yetis.
In a tight game between the Homer Yetis and the San Francisco Seals, nobody was more important for the winners than Manny Cantú. Cantú was masterful in the 1-0 win. Freddy Mercado closed out the game, earning his 13th save.
The win was credited to Cantú. He raised his season record to 6-5. In 8 innings of work, Cantú gave up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 5. The Yetis never could get a clutch hit when they needed it.
