Denver Grizzlies starter Dale Robinson pitched a strong game against the Austin Cowboys at Clark Field, leading the Grizzlies to victory, 5-1. Denver, at 99-54, is 11½ games up in the Pioneer League North.

The Grizzlies got a big at-bat from center fielder Carlos García. For the game, García went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 32nd home run of the season gave Denver a 1-0 lead.

García told the Denver News: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
