Guillén Lifts Angels to 7-1 Triumph

The Los Angeles Angels beat the Portland Beavers, 7-1, at Multnomah Stadium. Los Angeles right fielder Neil Guillén had an outstanding performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. With the win, the Angels have a record of 75-76.
Jesús Reyes was 3 for 4 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for Los Angeles. The 29-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring single off Francisco Leal. It was his 115th hit of the season.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Guillén.
