|
Denver Grizzlies starter Andre Parks worked his magic, to help his team defeat the Salt Lake City Locusts, 3-1. Parks yielded 1 run over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 0, and struck out 5. His record improves to 9-9. The first-place Grizzlies, at 101-54, now lead their division by 12½ games.
Denver used the hitting of Bobby Woods to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Grizzlies on top, 3-1. For the game, Woods had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Andre was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Denver manager Chris Needham.
