A 6-RBI performance from the 34-year old center fielder Pedro Young helped the Houston Lone Stars beat the New Orleans Pelicans, 9-5. The second-place Lone Stars have won 4 in a row.

Young had a key at-bat for Houston early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and gave Houston an early 4-0 lead.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Houston manager .
