Seals Lose to Acorns in Walk Off
|
The Oakland Acorns walked off with a big win.
The Oakland Acorns beat the San Francisco Seals, 4-3, at Oakland Ball Park. Cliff Doss, in particular, was impressive. He was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Oakland reliever Robert Cooper picked up the win, raising his record to 8-8. Cedric Bryant was tagged with the loss.
Gabriel Castaneda was the walk-off hero for Oakland. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Acorns second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"This place was rockin'," Doss said.
At 70-84, the Acorns are currently 4th in the Pacific Coast League North.
