With 7-2 Win, Lone Stars Improve to 86-71
The Houston Lone Stars got a good effort from starter Larry Adams in defeating the Austin Cowboys at Hogg Field. The final score was 7-2. The Pioneer League South-leading Lone Stars are 86-71.

There was more than one reason the Lone Stars beat the Cowboys, but Adams's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run single.

"It's a mindset," said Adams. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
