Rivas Hits Two Homers in 8-2 Win for Long Beach
The 8-2 Long Beach win over Los Angeles was due largely to Ricardo Rivas. The Ports shortstop went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Edward López was the winner. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 4 walks and 10 strikeouts. The Ports now have a mark of 77-81.

The Ports got a big at-bat from catcher Matt Oster. For the game, Oster went 1 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 20th home run of the season gave Long Beach a 3-2 lead.
