Breakers Lose, 4-1, at Wrigley Field
|
The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at Wrigley Field, knocking off the San Diego Breakers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Joel Bradley was a big reason why. The winning pitcher was Bradley, now 2-0. He tossed 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Mason Olson earned the save for Los Angeles, his 1st of the year.
Los Angeles shortstop Jesús Reyes contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put the Angels ahead, 2-0.
"That was a really good outing by Joel," said Los Angeles manager David K.
With the win, Los Angeles is 5-1.
