The 6-3 Houston win over Las Vegas was due in large part to Pedro Young. The Lone Stars center fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Kazunori Yamashita picked up the win. His record improves to 4-5. Jackson Mendoza took the loss. The save was credited to Mark Ervin, his 9th.

Young had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count changeup from Jackson Mendoza, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Lone Stars a 4-3 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Young.

"It was a solid team effort," said Young after the game.

The Lone Stars now have a record of 71-90.
