New Orleans Gets 4-3 Win
|
New Orleans picked up a win at Gilmore Field, bumping off the Hollywood Stars, 4-3. Pitcher Ronnie Gordon was a major reason the Pelicans emerged victorious. Gordon picked up the win for New Orleans, going 6 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 6-1. The victory gives the Pelicans a record of 42-18.
Had Orlando Castro not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Castro hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Pelicans.
"Ronnie is a gamer," said New Orleans manager Day Breaker.
