González Lays Hammer Down in 7-2 Win
The Los Angeles Angels beat the Sacramento Ironhorse, 7-2. Los Angeles pitcher and Villa Isabela, Dominican Republic, native Jorge González led the way. Los Angeles, now 89-73, holds down second place in the Pacific Coast League South.

González was effective against the Ironhorse, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Sacramento to just 1 run on 4 hits over 8 innings.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," González told the Los Angeles Bulletin.
