Led by 22-year-old Armando Torres, the Oakland Acorns knocked off the Minneapolis Millers, 7-3. Torres went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Acorns. Oakland pitcher Ray Foster earned the win, hiking his record to 4-1. Anthony Miskell suffered the loss. Oakland now has a record of 36-27 with the win.

In the first inning, Torres had a 3-run home run for Oakland. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Acorns on top, 3-0.

"The most important thing is that we won," Torres said.
