The San Bernardino Stallions beat the Denver Grizzlies, 12-10, at Jellystone Park. The Stallions got a fine performance from left fielder Tom Huff, who went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The Stallions improved their record to 20-44 with the win over Denver.

San Bernardino used the timely hitting of Alfonso Salas to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Stallions on top, 11-10. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Huff told the San Bernardino Observer.
