The Mexico City Aztecs got a superb performance from pitcher Clyde Kelly, but the Kansas City Jacks still won the game, 5-1. Kelly threw 6.1 innings of shutout ball. Vicente García earned the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 5-1. Today's win puts Kansas City at 34-31, while Mexico City falls to 28-38.

With the bases empty and one out in the bottom of the eighth inning, pitcher Vicente García delivered big for the Jacks. Kansas City was trailing 1-0 when he belted a solo home run.

"It was a team effort and I thought the guys had a good plan and approach," said García after the game.
