The Austin Cowboys defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 8-4. Doing his part was right fielder Walt Kane, who went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Rafael Infante, who finished 5th in the PL in strikeouts with 295 in 2014, was the winner. He's now 3-5. The loser was Pedro Hardy. The victory gives the Cowboys a record of 34-32.

Austin used a clutch at-bat from Daniel Fernández to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cowboys ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Kane told the Austin Bulletin.
