Stars Win Streak Now at 6 After 5-1 Victory

Hollywood used a superb performance from starting pitcher Jesús Chávez to down the San Bernardino Stallions, 5-1. In 7 innings, Chávez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. The first-place Stars now sit at 44-23.
José Guzmán dealt the Stallions a blow in the top of the seventh. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Hollywood leading 2-0, Guzmán, who finished 2nd in the PL in on-base percentage with .409 in 2013, hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.
"I feel like we're rolling now," Chávez told the Hollywood Daily."The dugout is coming alive."
