Minneapolis pitcher Darwin McCoy had a large part in his team subduing the Salt Lake City Locusts, 9-1. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Minneapolis reliever Dave Simpson, who is tied for 8th in the PL in holds with 6, was credited with the win. His record goes to 4-2. Pete Howard took the loss for Salt Lake City. Minneapolis is now 32-37. Salt Lake City is 33-34.
