San Bernardino first baseman Tom Huff played a vital role in his team's 4-1 conquest of Sacramento. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs for San Bernardino. Félix Brito, who finished 3rd in the PL in ERA with 2.93 in 2011, was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 1 run on 5 hits, with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Sacramento drops to 3-4.

Alonso Maldonado had a big run-scoring double for the Stallions in the bottom of the sixth inning. With San Bernardino leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from two-time All-Star Donald Richter and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stallions ahead, 3-1.
