Dallas turned a good effort from starter Paul Poskitt into a win over the New Orleans Pelicans at Burnett Field. The final score was 2-0. Fred Davis nailed down his 14th save. The Eagles raised their record to 28-45.

The Eagles liked what they saw from Poskitt. The 22-year- old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Pelicans to no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings, and striking out 3.

"If you beat me, you beat me, if not, good things will happen," said Poskitt.
