The performance of Pedro Castro proved critical in helping Kansas City beat Austin, 7-4, in 10 innings. The Jacks third baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The third-place Cowboys dropped to 38-35.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Castro hit a fastball from Will Goodwin for a 3-run home run. The Jacks, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
