Houston beat Dallas in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Houston Lone Stars defeated the Dallas Eagles, 5-2. Left Fielder Domingo Mendoza deserved a large share of the credit. Mendoza was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Lone Stars. The win gives Houston a record of 5-3.

Early in the game, Mendoza had a 2-run home run for Houston. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Lone Stars on top, 2-0.

Afterward, Dallas manager Cameron J said: "We've hit a rough patch."
