In a tight game between the Las Vegas Strip and the Salt Lake City Locusts, pitcher Lorenzo Morales was terrific on the mound. The Las Vegas right-hander helped his team to the 3-1 win. The win gives the Strip a record of 19-56.

Keith Edwards, who finished 3rd in the PL in triples with 20 last year, had a direct impact on the outcome. Edwards contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Las Vegas up, 2-1.

"I felt great. Had good rhythm with my mechanics," said Morales.
