The Homer Yetis got a great start from 36-year-old left-hander Barry Jennings, as Homer took the 4-1 win at Higgins Park over the series-leading New Orleans Pelicans. Jennings threw 6.2 innings allowing 1 runs and helped Homer close their deficit to 2 games to 1 in the best-of-7 series.

Homer used a timely hit from Dan Campbell to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Yetis ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Homer manager Drew Johnson told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Higgins Park in New Orleans.
