Strip Advance to League Championship Series
|
The Las Vegas Strip "proved we can handle pressure" by beating the Wild Card Series and eliminating the Denver Grizzlies, according to series MVP Nathan Bartlett.
"This is the big stage, we're off to the League Championship Series and looking towards the Series of the West," he said. "There's a lot of pressure at this time of year and it's only going to get more intense from here. But I think we can handle it just fine."
Las Vegas won the final game 4-2, to wrap up the series 4-2.
Bartlett led his team to the series win by putting up a .304 average, with a .385 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Las Vegas Strip will play against the New Orleans Pelicans in the next round. New Orleans won their series against the Homer Yetis 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
